Dudes on chorus dot fm are always like "There's no one good on this festival where's MXPX???"

 

No I get that, but I assumed for one of the longest running fests that usually has appeal across a broad spectrum the lineup would be… better?

 

tbh i haven't seen the lineup but I assume they know what they're doing lol

 

music festivals are fun but can be extremely anxiety inducing with how much running around you need to do while also likely barely eating or sleeping if its a multi day thing.

 

the only festival i've been to was warped in 2014 and it was in dallas and it was brutal and i remember falling asleep in the amphitheater at one point when no one I cared about was playing

 

It's incredibly diverse for people who actually listen to music especially music made by women so it makes me laugh when posters like somethingwitty (the usual culprit I will not censor) complain because they happen to always complain about anything made by women

I just always get blown away when "there's no one I like" is actually "well I haven't heard these people" which it's fine to not have heard people but that does not make it bad!

 

I've only been to one huge festival and I think I'm okay keeping it that way. Unless the lineup was just so perfectly tailored to me, I found it overwhelming.

i considered one of those is for lovers fests a couple years ago in kansas since the wonder years were headlining but didn't go and it worked out because there were thunderstorms that screwed everything up anyway

Tbf Warped being in Dallas should have been shut down so many times

If they tried to do that now tons of people would die

 

a guy i work with flew out to vegas for the first year if WWWY fest and it got cancelled day of bc of wind so he just came home lol

I'm listening to Section.80 for the first time in forever and it's still so good and I wish there was an actual proper follow-up to that style of release

I only go to Coachella cause no artists actually come to Fresno so if I go to Coachella fest I can see artists I wouldn’t see and also ticket prices are getting insane

there’s like a resurgence of those like nu metal and rock bands from the 2000’s. They are all doing arena tours.
