I would’ve taken him earlier but Devin Neal and Jalen Royals falling to my late 3rd and late 4th round picks was too good to pass up

Nah. Rice going to jail. Hollywood brown is still 170 pounds and can’t take hits well enough to be a true slot. I think Royals can be a quality choice in about 2 years. He won’t replace Worthy but could def replace Rice and/or surpass Brown

Rice isnt going to jail and Worthy is the #2/future 1

Rice is getting delayed court dates and that’s infuriating, but even with NFL player privilege I would be shocked if he doesn’t get put away. You have to remember that property is involved and some of the injured victims aren’t women so he might actually face the music (fuckin sad to say it like that but it’s true, our courts take property damage & bodily injury WAY more seriously than some of the other stuff we’ve seen players get off Scott free for)

Cannot imagine injuring four people and wrecking multiple cars and just walking the fuck away. The fuck. I have sympathy for people having rough upbringings and being raised to violently defend themselves etc but that’s low as fuck even if you did grow up in a gang ridden area, you’d have no respect and be hated by the community if you did that there too

Sadly, what he has the potential to do is pay a lot of money to make this go away, and assuming he's getting a 2nd contract, he'll have the money to do that. Also, the only thing happening right now is civil cases, which the NFL isnt gonna suspend him for.

as long as they're aware of the situation, I'm all for it. His ball skills and body control are definitely good enough to make big plays here and there right away, even if he is a raw route runner by NFL standards. But I'm relieved to hear an acknowledgement that they can see he's more of an elite/rare corner than WR right now, and that they're not strictly putting him at WR because they only see him as a WR.

If he reached his ceiling at CB, it's not a stretch to say he could develop Bailey / Woodson ball skills & ability to find the football in the air without losing the defender. He's smaller/less physical than those guys so I'm not saying he'll become that complete/elite of a CB overall - but he simply is a HAWK for the ball in the air, has the leaping ability to compete with bigger WRs, ridiculously good at reading route combinations and taking away more than one read in a progression, has great timing / acceleration to burst on bullet throws, and the agility/footwork is a huge boost too, even if he gets "beat" he seems to never lose his footing or angle. I could easily see him having those 6, 7, 8 INT seasons if we really let him refine that craft.

let alone the kick return elusiveness, the pursuit/effort he gives on every snap even when he's playing literally every snap, his great attitude & the reports of him being high character... I'm so excited man he's made of all the right stuff to be a fuckin phenom
