I almost never do. Only time I do is with a fast food meal if it comes with a drink and doesn’t make sense financially to get it a la carte with a water. and even then I’m more likely to go for a different drink. The Mango tea at Taco Bell has replaced Baja Blast for me permanently

At restaurants I’m strictly water or alcohol unless 1) I’m at a diner or breakfast spot and I’m getting coffee 2) I’m in the south and I’m getting sweet tea

wore myself out on soda real quick working in restaurants. I used to be so stoked about having access to a soda fountain, now soda is like a ONCE IN AWHILE lil treat. Once I discovered how soda is worse for you and your metabolism even than a lot of fattening food because of how much damn sugar is in it, I was already pretty desensitized to the novelty of drinking a soda, so I just kinda cut that out as an easy thing to go without so I can justify the rest of my diet better lol.

i also don’t love what it does to your teeth and shit & when I’m trying to be cheap, not getting a soda can often be the difference between cleanly spending less than $10 on fast food or less than $15 on fast casual, and going over. I also save money at the grocery store by not getting drinks & it also makes sure I stay hydrated with water rather than dehydrating myself with sugar. It was hard at first but I’m very used to mostly drinking water now, although Gold Peak tea and Simply fruit juices tempt me all the time.

 

This is sacrilege. Do you simply throw away the Andes chocolate mints they give you at Olive Garden?? Next time save it for me

Stupid ass weather year imo. It has not stopped being windy af in Baltimore in 2025. And every time it starts pretending to get warm it rains and gets chilly again. mad about it. Maryland is usually 75-80 in May and still above 60 at night, what the fuck is this
