it was initial conceived in 2004 in response to 9/11 and now is finally required, so they have been pushing it back for 21 years, people are right to complain

especially since there are several different types of IDs that count as a Real ID and it varies from state to state

 

I simply will not defend making people pay more for a pointless ID

To get a real id I have to pay for a certified copy of my birth certificate because my parents lost it. And then have to pay to get the real id. Or I can renew my expired passport which is just as good as a real id because real id are dumb and bad.

 

It'd be cool if they had to stamp the passport if you use it in place of a RealID so you can collect some really dumb passport stamps like Scottsdale and shit
