Like we talk to Matt every day in many different places it's not that serious, it's all love and is stuff we've talked about before. Fantasy football ain't that important it's just an opinion

 

Very much long enough

People have MANY hours to make a selection if I remember right

But that doesn't stop people being like "wtf why aren't we picking"

 

8 hours, pauses overnight

 

I hope everyone takes the full 8 to make sure they're getting the right guy

 

All I know is I did post the link to the draft zoom fundraiser before the draft, multiple times during, and I believe after as well, and people were like "wait I didn't see it" so I'm not surprised that a Sleeper poll when people don't have notifications for the app on because the notifications spam like crazy (fwiw my wife did see the poll because she coincidentally checked it) didn't get a ton of traction and resulted in surprise

 

Whenever I see old images of Kevin Smith I realize how weird he looks as a skinny guy

Like 11 pm to 7 am I think

I'm failing at my resolution to not backseat on projects, I really do need to be better

 

Seems unfair. The person who is on the clock at 11pm gets a lot more time to think about their pick than the one on the clock at 7am

In a way yeah but the person who picks at 7am also has that time to think about it, they just have to have a potential backup pick

 

It’s a dynasty league. When the league first starts you do a startup draft which is usually 25-30+ rounds. The idea is you keep your same roster forever. You keep the guys you wanna keep every year and drop the busts or guys who retire.

And then you do a rookie only draft every season to add the new rookies to your team.

Personally, dynasty is my favorite version of fantasy football. If you play in a big money league with friends it’s a fun year round discussion, you can do trades in like January, and you are always scheming for the future. It’s fun and gives a lil extra incentive for those who pay more attention to the NFL draft prospects

Yeah, but they could really be thrown off that way. The guy picking at 11 doesn't need the back up. He's got the pick of the litter. Try to work on a fix for next year

For real though my bad Matt, it is the part of my brain I really like when it's something I'm actually involved in but the part I hate when I'm not because it just comes off really annoying. Just got surprised learning about it because the past few drafts have been like "Laura sitting here waiting for it to be her pick, and it being her pick the exact second she's busy for the rest of the day and then she's anxious about it" and I don't like that for her, and it becomes more likely when people are caught off guard. But it REALLY isn't a big deal at all and probably comes across a bigger deal than it is to me when it's written in text

I played laser tag with a couple 8 year olds and a 5 year old yesterday (I absolutely destroyed them all) and you would not believe how sore my legs are right now. Kinda embarrassing, but you know what they say....go big or go home.
