Yeah it’s such a god damn scam. Makes the employee feel guilty to request PTO and gives managers the ability to hang over your head “well actually because you took this time off ….”

I just stick to 3-4 weeks in that range and hope for the best lol

I have the whole flexible time off thing, but that doesn't mean I ever actually don't work lol.

Took the moving week off and worked literally every day that week.

i think other places call it a floating holiday because we work days that other workplaces sometimes get off? like presidents day, mlk day, stuff like that

but we get the major federal holidays off obviously

i dont get any of the bullshit fake holidays like columbus day, pres day, vets day, etc. so monday is my first non pto day off since fuckin Jan 1.

Anyway very thankful for my bidet and was just thinking about how much it sucks when I travel somewhere and don't have a bidet

 

Josh also gets to just leave work at 1pm if its slow and nothings going on so if you add up all the times he does that in a year its like a whole extra week!!!!

We finally got MLK day off this last year but before it was the same where you get January 1st off and then Memorial Day. Sucks.

I am glad my work at least gives us Christmas Eve and the day after Thanksgiving off. Rather these days than like freakin’ Columbus Day or Veterans Day
