Apparently he retweeted something about Cannon but deleted it and clarified he was unware of his anti-Semitic remarks and did not support it.

 

It autocorrected to his name being spelt wrong and then I fixed it but accidentally deleted the e lol

I am very happy with my band’s single. :)

takes a LOT to get me to not have paragraphs of notes about how it can improve, as yall can imagine

 

If anything just maybe the vocal melodies could be more like, “less is more” - but it’s also kinda the point of the song- musically, to be emulating an improv jazz singer, and more figuratively/lyrically, to mimic the random / unpredictable movements and sounds of birds in a way

I’d also like to have more control over which guitar tones get layered where in the future, that’s part of why I don’t wanna try to record the root guitars, bass and drums live again. but for recording the basic parts live and basically just having two raw live guitar tracks, tones came out pretty good

the studio engineer did a good job listening and adapting to all my mixing notes. The only thing I wish is that he had a little more flexibility with how he uses reverbs and compressors to make different layers sit in different places and the whole thing to feel more 3D. I had to kind of instruct him on how I wanted to do that based on my past experience in studios. It’s not something he was unfamiliar with, but more so, he wasn’t seeing that as a solution to all the details of my songs meshing together until I was like “hey let’s try it” and it worked. The last studio engineer who did my EP, that was a huge plus of his skillset - he not only knew how to use those tools but he had several reverbs and several compressors and would know which one was right for the job. but there’s things he wasn’t as good at as the current guy as well, so I’m happy with the cheaper option mixing-wise
