I wouldn’t say I’m a fan but I keep tabs on them. My parents are. Can’t support the Rockies until they get new owners that realize they own a baseball team

 

Really digging the woman I met a week ago. It’s not a serious thing and it’s probably not good for me to get caught up in any new feelings while I’m still processing my last relationship.

But she’s a grown ass woman who handles her shit (she’s 36), found an amazing deal on a house she owns, & runs a hairdressing business. She is laid back and knows how to have fun but also goes into full mom mode when her son is there. Haven’t met her son but he seems super cool & she goes to all his sports practices haha. LOVES music and passionate about her own stuff she’s creating. Very direct which is a turn on for me. Amazing tattoos, freaking fine as hell, & we’re connecting very well in the bedroom. Is this real life?

I told her when I first started talking to her that she’s very beautiful and she said I was very handsome and I said “if you’re interested I’d love to take you out some time” and she came right back with a “oh, I’m interested” and looked me up and down lol. I was like damn this is the kinda forward energy I like, no games just let me know what’s up.

But then she said she goes to every Ravens / Jags game and that we should go to one together and I was like “be still my throbbing heart” lmao. Never dated a woman who gave one little nugget of shit about football before

The goal was, show Ottobar we are serious. They had a cancelled Friday night show with High Vis, Militarie Gun and Pissed Jeans - would’ve EASILY sold Ottobar out. That’s a massive L to take on a Friday night. I was like boom, let’s show them that local music can at least make Ottobar DECENT money on a Friday night if they don’t have a better option, and they gave me a shot. We didn’t need to sell 350 tickets and sell them out. We just needed to get their staff paid and have enough people there to help them sell a handsome amount of drinks. Make it well worth opening their doors and turn a negative into a positive.

We drew 96 people on a show we put together in less than a month, while I was on tour (designed the flyer on my phone while at a fucking Terrain show in Houston lmao), had to drop two bands and add two other bands to replace them in between driving to cities and playing shows lol, all this finally came together maybe 16 days before the show? And that’s all the time we had to promote it. I even had Ottobar emailing me like “yo what’s the final lineup are we still doin this??”

I knew this was a huge risk and I fuckin stood there and said “are we a professional local band or not” and we pulled it the fuck off. Beyond stoked. Staple Baltimore venues are going to put us on shows with signed bands in 2026 knowing we will do what it takes to draw an extra 50+ people. Book it.
