Just got the funniest feedback of my professional career. My boss told me that they got more feedback on why our decision makers didn't come close to meeting the raise I asked for and he quoted the remark "he is sometimes unhelpful and likes to lay down the law when something can't be done" and we were both just laughing our asses off lol

I've never in my life been told that I'm not helpful, and I told him my personal philosophy is to be extremely helpful and try to teach these idiots how to do things so that in the future they don't have to bother IT with their asinine problems that can be fixed themselves with the smallest amount of critical thinking skills.

I have a pretty good idea on who said this and it's hilarious because they are a repeat offender of something we plead with people not to do and at times I've had to tell them "please stop doing that."

Love to be gatekept from a raise because one idiot is too dumb to use a computer so they think I don't want to help them!
