we took a few friends to the Minecraft movie but this is his family party that we had to wait to do since my inlaws have been on a month long vacation.

 

Ohhh those lmao. I assumed since he’s in Texas we were talking about real tamales

 

Getting those at an airport would be so miserable

 

We used to have a guy who would go to my office and sell tamales, he ruled

 

On one hand I am totally with “even if you’re just at the airport, see if they have any semblance of authentic local cuisine”. On the other hand that would be awfully messy… both going in and coming out lol

 

It’s shameful that most airports do not highlight the local cuisine cause I fucking love the ones that do. I eat good at the airport every time I fly outta New Orleans

 

There's a barbecue place at the airport and like it's okay to get breakfast at (they do breakfast dishes too) but if you're like "hell yeah time for Texas barbecue" it'd be such a miserable experience

 

Even if it was like, “I gotta have Texas BBQ one more time before I leave” and i already had the main “get Texas BBQ” event?

 

Cause that’s how it is in NOLA lol I’m like “damn imma miss this food where can I get a po boy or some beignets / pralines or some fuckin gumbo or shrimp and grits before I leave”

 

All ny airports have pizza our cuisine is widely represented

 

I have to imagine anybody who badly wants gumbo and shrimp is going to make an opportunity to get some not and not wait until theyre at an airport lol

 

I’m talking about when you want it AGAIN cause it was so good and you’re not gonna be able to have it for another 6 months lol

I do not eat gumbo outside of New Orleans. I have tried. It is never correct. Copeland’s restaurant is the only exception where New Orleans cuisine actually gets made fairly correct outside of NOLA but there aren’t any of those up here

 

I like to try the McDonald’s at the airport to see how each region does things

 

lol, mcD’s is probably the one company that will be the same no matter where you go in the US. They are just goddamn CONSISTENT

Character concerns

 

I just don’t be eating candy. Sorry if that’s weird lol. Chocolate only please (and preferably Reese’s big cups or snickers, although I also really like Bueno). If I really wanna treat myself to sweets then I go to a local bakery / pastry place and get me a slice of something delicious

 

then you’ve never had a McDouble at the Denver airport. Life changing.

Fruity candy tastes alright (some of it - some of it just tastes like Tylenol flavoring) but I just never like the texture. I don’t have the patience to sit there and suck on hard candy or a lollipop & soft chewy candies getting stuck in my teeth drives me nuts and instantly I regret eating it even if it tastes great.

Sour gummy worms are good cause they are neither of those things, they’re easy to chew and they don’t taste like medicine. That’s probably the only exception haha. I guess Skittles are aight but I haven’t had them in forever
