I had a great weekend thanks for asking

 

Played a “Porchfest” show in DC’s Petworth neighborhood. That’s not the most popular porchfest in DC, the Adams Morgan one next week is, but we still got a massive crowd because we were the only band on the street playing the 6PM slot.

Fuckin worked out great. We initially were supposed to slot in at 3 PM to replace my friend’s band Fake Radio (the fest got moved from yesterday to today due to rain and they couldn’t make it). But when I told them “ah my drummer can’t make it unless we play at 6, but I’m happy to play solo!” They simply moved us to a stage (er, a porch) that was willing to extend to 7PM. I was like fuck yeah, best case scenario lol.

Was a great last minute way to promote our upcoming show and single release on Friday. We sold some shirts and are now only $51 away from breaking even on our investment (with like over $1000 of merch to directly profit from at our next show / next tour after that.) Was also a much needed distraction from the Big Sad… which I’m hoping doesn’t come back and swallow me whole now while I relax with a beer at an awesome Baltimore bar I haven’t been to in forever.

 

Watched Mission Impossible 1 and 2 back to back and you can see how they took the criticisms of the 1st and just WAY overcorrected with the 2nd lol

That’s just the downstairs bar that’s open later, there’s a whole like, nice gastropub restaurant upstairs. This place is basically inspired by what nightlife in Belgium is like. They actually do brew their own shit too, the Resurrection Ale is what I’m drinking and they sell it at Ottobar where I’m playing Friday

 

It’s called the RMV in Mass

 

Kind of wild that it took them to the 4th film to actually make a great one

 

The first three all have their moments but they also feel like they're in response to each other's criticisms. Cruise taking over for the 4th one is really what saved it.

 

I think the saddest part of all of this for Shedeur is that fell that far and STILL ended up on the Browns
