I do wanna say Shedeur is a polarizing prospect and it’s not as clear of a “race is influencing how he’s evaluated and how teams perceive his potential” as Lamar falling was. I don’t think he’s getting underdrafted because of his race alone. But denying it’s an issue in the NFL because Cam Ward went #1 or whatever is a very short sighted, surface level way of looking at a very subtly entrenched, systemic, cultural issue that doesn’t have to be as overt or self-aware as saying “I don’t like black people’s attitudes they should be more obedient / they should speak with better grammar” for that dynamic to still exist subconsciously

 

ONL has to go to a specific place to succeed and unfortunately that's the Chiefs
