None of these feels truly shocking, but at the time of the draft the Penix selection was the most discussed

Nix is probably the early contender for best pick based on pick placement (6th QB drafted)

 

Penix was far and away the most shocking

 

don’t want this. 5 way too early. Way better talent there.

 

& BTJ is clearly WR1 so I’m actually okay waiting to draft receiver help in one of our picks rounds 2-4

 

I'd take Bowers being the best pass catcher as the current best pick with Daniels having the ceiling to be best pick as well even with being pick 2

I feel like both are better value

i don’t disagree with you. i’m very down on tet. but the fact of the matter is he will be gone by 12 at the latest and only maybe one of the teams between 5 and 12 would consider trading back with yall

bowers being as good as he is wasn’t surprising. the only shocking option is penix and it’s only because of the team that picked him/who they signed directly prior lol

Penix most shocking obviously (even if in the end it was the right pick) but at the time it felt stupid for that specific team

Nix best value because they were a playoff team with a QB who mostly everyone thought sucked

McCarthy will be the answer for best value in a year

 

Yeah, I just feel like if you want offensive weapons over a defender like Mason Graham or a great OL, and are already gonna settle for like, an “above average” WR at pick 5… then why the fuck would you not just take an elite RB instead

 

I’ll be so mad if it’s Tet at pick 5 and not Jeanty, i think Jeanty does more by himself to help this offense and settle down Trevor than Tet does. I am okay with the Jags going a different direction though. Obviously if Hunter or Carter falls or if we decide one of them is worth trading up I’m all for it

 

I stand by Penix not being stupid at the time and the Cousins contract being what was stupid in the first place

Obviously hindsight agrees with me but it felt obvious Cousins of now was not Cousins of before, and they were finding an exit strategy for how shit that deal was
