Looking back, that first round is hilarious. If you took an offensive skill played you f'd up, basically, and if you didnt, you got at least a Pro Bowl caliber player, and for 5 or 6 teams, all-time franchise players

i try to divorce my take on the player when deciding whether a movie is wild or not. there simply has been buzz for a month now that someone is going to trade up for Dart and Sanders might fall far so regardless of how I feel about either I just don't think ill be shocked if it happens

honestly both are kinda the other side of the same coin to me. wouldn't want to be tied to either.

 

Even just purely from a scheme perspective he's a better fit for Pitt

 

Need the pats to trade out of 4 and if not I'm hoping for a Jeanty surprise. I know RB in the top 10 is terrible value and they're not really at the place in the rebuild they can afford it, but it hurts me to see them at 4 and not take the one guy left who has best in the league at his position upside. They are going to need elite skill players to compete in the theoretical Maye window, I really don't see a compelling reason in this draft not to start with him barring a Carter fall.

 

Was at least a little proactive tonight. I accidentally gave two flyers to the bassist and guitarist of the first band Jayla Kai without knowing lmao but we had a nice conversation. I also ran into Caden (Pool Kids drummer) outside & he asked me what I was passing out so he got one too lol. Very nice dude.

 

Yeah Jeanty checks the excitement box off, which has been missing from this team for like 6 seasons. I wouldn’t hate it even if picking an RB top 5 (so it means you suck) historically doesn’t turn you around. I’d still be stoked for fun. It’s a weird draft and Campbell isn’t a sure fire thing.

I do think OT early 1st, using your 2nd to draft WR (or trade back into 1st for Egbuka!!!), and use a day 3 pick on the endless RB’s is a valid way to go.

I don’t think Pittsburgh goes with a QB in round 1. The press conference didn’t scream that Tomlin or Khan are excited about the first round of the draft. And they specifically commented that they wanted to trade back. Which wouldn’t make sense if they were in love with a QB.
But who knows I guess.

 

Yes I was excited about Maye (still am), however, did you enjoy any second of New England Patriots football last season, even with Maye under center?

This team was obnoxiously bad & boring and then he’d make a fun play down 2 scores in the 4th. I neeeeed something more my guy lol

 

I'd feel better about OT in the first if there's a trade back. Seems like the vast majority of people who study film don't think Campbell is a tackle in the NFL and that makes him a no for me at 4. I'd be more excited about Membou who might not be able to switch but should be a force at RT.

 

well sure lol you gotta build around drake to give him a chance but he definitely has already checked the excitement box if for no other reason than you don't have to worry about checking off the QB box for the next half decade at least
