Now that I know how expensive your registration is though I regret offering to pay it but I probably would've kept my word

 

Actually my dad. He started the company in 2000. I didn't even talk to him from like 2005-2013, and then one day out of the blue he called me up and asked to meet for dinner. Offered me a role in the shop that would be basically taking over most of his tasks because he knew I'd been running the bike shop for a couple years, and I was getting close to wrapping up school. I said no at first and then gave in after a couple months of talks. Then we tried to buy said bike shop a couple years later when that owner decided to sell, but ultimately backed out after getting the funding and attending the farewell party and everything, whoops! His other buyer seems to be doing ok now though.

And that's my work history in a nutshell. So here I am running this place now and dealing with my dad working very seldom and randomly and having a hard time relinquishing certain decision making. Couple more years he should be out-out though, so I can start wondering fully why I am working around cars for a living.

you also have to factor in savings like not having to do oil changes, cost of maintenance over the long term because EVs have like 10% of the moving parts an ICE vehicle does, etc. I'm sure eventually there will be more free public charging stations throughout the country. Right now an EV is a huge savings to us compared to an ICE because I have free charging at work. Also, you could look at getting solar panels and that would offset your costs for electricity by a lot, even if that is a huge up front cost.

Haha idk man. I'm not a car guy in the sense that I don't get excited when I see old cars or hear about some cool engine. But I do enjoy business management and the ins and outs of running a small business, so I focus on that part.

I am now interviewing for the assistant city manager position for that same city in colorado
