Roblox seems to be one that will last forever. He even got my mother in law to play Roblox with him lol

 

Maisie's gonna still be in the Bluey phase so worst case scenario she and I will go and Milo can stay home like a squid.

I might be a POS dad who makes my kid stay in baseball when he doesn't want to. He's too good and I really don't want him to give up on this, I want him to commit so badly. I won't be an asshole about it or anything but god I really don't want him to drop it

 

my buddy’s kid is 6 and all he wants to do is play Roblox

We are six days into adhd meds and I can’t tell what effect they are having but he seems to be a little more agreeable to things this week and puts up less of a fight. No idea if it’s drugs or maturity lol.

 

To clarify he wants to drop because he thinks the person taking over as coach for his lil town is annoying

I don't think that's a good reason. If it were that he really didn't like playing I wouldn't wanna make him

 

saw somewhere it’s essentially a casino for kids. Lots of sounds, it’s bright, you win a lot of meaningless coins or awards. Tons of in app purchases. Probably wiring an entire generation of kids brains very badly.

 

That's how I feel about my 3 year old and golf.

Lil dude needs to hit 1000 balls a day if he wants any shot at making the Korn Ferry Tour.

 

I think it’s okay to put pressure on your kid to keep doing something if they are genuinely good at it and they overall enjoy it but that cliff approaches quickly to where you become “that parent” forcing kids to do things and make them hate it

 

I wish mcD’s would go back to breakfast all day

Yeah it's a real tightrope walk finding the sweet spot where they'll appreciate the encouragement and learn the lesson to stick through things, and not escalating and being a "sports dad" who makes the kid miserable to play
