I enjoyed the trailer. Doesn't really give anything away. Eleven seemingly jumping from the ground to the top of a building seems silly, but I will be watching and enjoying

Is there some major gripe people have with Stranger Things other than taking forever between seasons?

That's my biggest thing. Just not into it like I was before

 

The kids being every single where I turned and looked discouraged me from continuing after season 1

 

It is annoying, but I'm a sucker for the time period and think the show has been very good. I just kinda forced myself to forget about it after the last finale because I knew it'd take forever. I'll plan to rewatch leading up to the new season, I think

 

The longer things take to come out the less interested I become. Nine years for five seasons is a long time and kills any momentum.

the bear, a much better show, will get five seasons in four years, keeping momentum going.

I understand the production for the shows is different but cmon.

 

don’t blame the bananas. take accountability.

 

I bet most people will still watch ST regardless of any momentum that has been killed due to the length between seasons.

my luke warm take is that watching movies has become better in the streaming era (don't have to rent/buy to watch, comes to streaming faster, etc), and TV shows have become way, way worse. we get fewer episodes per season, fewer seasons on average, and they take 2-3x as long to release.

 

I watch less movies than ever these days, but agree with everything you say about TV shows. But I also think the quality of TV is generally better than it was, so it's kinda a trade off

I'm looking forward to the new Stranger Things, but I'm also looking forward to them wrapping up the series.
