I get that, it's just like...idk man shut up and use the colors I asked for? lol i just think i don't really get tattoo culture, which is fine, i don't plan on ever getting one, not that i begrudge anyone who does.

 

I think I have trouble seeing it as a partnership because at the end of the day, money is only leaving one hand to the other. So I just stay stuck in that service mindset.

 

It's not something that I really know a lot about, I know that certain colors can react in different ways to your body so I can get having aversions to certain things but yeah the artist should be working with you to get as close as possible to what you want so I get you for sure

Just trying to understand their side as someone who is, like you, the consumer paying for something

My sister is an RN, so she pretty much handles everything for him. He's not in a Hospice home. He's receiving hospice care at a long-term nursing home. Pretty much he just isn't receiving anything but pain management. He is under VA insurance, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but maybe?

 

Well my company announced a voluntary severance program... that's always great for confidence in continuing to have a job. (it's followed by a mandatory one as they want to reduce by 10%)...

Yeah you’re paying them to tattoo you but it’s still their art that is basically a walking billboard for them. They have every right to not want to do something if they don’t think it’s good or won’t work. Of course you should come to this agreement before actually starting the tattoo.

and yes certain colors don’t work well on certain skin or won’t hold. red is very hard to keep full saturated on skin after it heals.

Sorry to hear this man. I’ve been living in paranoia for several years now with how liberal these layoffs have been across the entire tech industry. Sucked to actually go through it earlier this year but I think I dodged a bullet at the end of the day.

I've heard of tattoos. Not for me.

 

Yeah its not weird at all that tattoo artists will balk at ideas or not do certain things.

The whole Brand New thing really ended any idea of getting a tattoo for me lol. Seeing a bunch of people try to figure out how to cover up their lyrics tattoo was like "phew dodged that bullet"

Obviously you could also just pick better things to get tattoed, but i think just not for me is where i'm at lol
