This is what I was saying the whole time. Pat taking a half day to go see a movie was an extreme example, I was ALSO talking about playing switch or guitar or doing house chores while on the clock and making sure you don’t miss a call or someone pinging you

 

When I worked at chipotle sometimes I’d go “work on” next week’s schedule and just listen to podcasts for a bit. Or if I had to go pick something up from a different store I’d take twice as long just to kill time. That was at a restaurant.

I can post away on the internet throughout my work day because I have a computer in front of me. Otherwise I've got customers in and out all day, and as of 9:59am we've received 33 phone calls. That's my work situation and my opinions reflect that. That's all I've got on the matter.

i have been here since 7:15 or so. i've had 2 30 minute meetings. I have also prepped 8 things to be shipped out later today and pulled a big ass crated air compressor from my backyard to get it ready to ship, and i had to fight off wasps while doing that lol

 

I know I don't work solidly through the day but I get my stuff done and am good at my job. It's no different than an in-office job when people go and shoot the shit for 30 minutes 6 times a day or go on walks lol.

 

I think yall just misunderstand me, being able to do ANY of those things on the clock is pretty cool

 

your job is fine but you never stop complaining about it or your coworkers and there was all that yapping about getting some mythical big tech job. im judging you for ~that~

Capitalism sucks we all gotta find ways to cheat the system. I’m fully supportive of people finding ways to amuse themselves at work when there’s nothing that requires immediate attention. I’m saying nothing bad about it
