I would love to live in a cheaper area, but as I've said before, finding a salary comparable to what I make now in said area has been extremely difficult to do. Not to mention the non-monetary perks I have in my current position (basically no micromanaging, a ton of freedom as long as I get my work done, no questions asked when I need time off, etc.). It's just very hard for me to consider going somewhere, starting over and potentially not having all of that anymore.

It sucks; the economy has been effectively rigged to where every desirable place to live is equally hard to afford
