I love Trainwreck one of the few openly scene-affected / whiney pop punk & post hardcore albums I still enjoy start to finish. The lyrics are way more cringe to me than they were when I was a teenager but I still find the instrumentation and arrangements to be very well done and impressive

probably won’t ever listen to trainwreck again but i really liked it for a few years there

same with receiving end of sirens and shit. can’t imagine there is anything there for me anymore but it was fun when i was like 18. neither are as good as MoBo

 

I used to love TREOS. My old band even got to open for them. They were cool dudes who loved to smoke weed.

 

I learned Trainwreck start to finish as a teenager and still probably remember how to play like 70% of it. That album, Thrice’s “Artist In the Ambulance”, and Coheed & Cambria’s “In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3”, and with hindsight I hate Max Bemis but I have to credit the album …Is A Real Boy

those are the albums that made me start challenging myself on guitar at 15 years old and wanting to play more than just loud power chords and simple predictable leads

I’m not as good of a drummer as I am a guitarist but I still think I pulled it off good enough

Fun fact that album and TREOS both had the same drummer (Brian Southall) and he’s honestly much better at drumming than the drummer on all of Boys Night Out’s other albums haha
