Golfing wasn’t my first choice of hobby to pick up. Wanted to do something that got me out of the house on Saturdays, and I wanted to join an adult baseball league, only problem is all of the leagues here play games on Sunday’s and that is the only day off Jocelyn and I have together. So I picked up golfing with another buddy who was just starting out and it is surprisingly a very difficult game. One tiny wrong movement fucks up your entire shot. I played baseball growing up and golf is 100x harder (baseball also came pretty naturally to me so that also might skew my opinion).

Won’t argue that boomer men who golf mostly suck shit, but there’s a ton of younger people who have picked up golf that are cool as shit (been paired with a lot of really cool people). Also won’t argue that in some areas there’s too many courses and that land should be used for housing.

tldr: it’s a fun hobby to pick up with friends and knock back a few cold ones
