we do laugh about/ air grievances about stuff going on in other threads on here and it does have people from this thread lurk others to see what’s going on. Like. I similarly wouldve never known about Dylan if my thread friends didn’t refer to him. It’s not always in a bad way like Greg or Anthony_ (users I also learned about from in here). So I think the possibility that the reverse happens is amusing

Jacksonville uses the hotel tax for its stadiums which is better than using citizens tax dollars. The hotel tax (6% extra added to hotel stays) is a clever way to at least get Florida tourism to fund the stadium so that people who visit and take advantage of the state for vacations are the ones paying. Still not nearly as satisfactory as Shad using his own billions upon billions to do it, but it’s better than taking away from poorer local citizens who can’t afford “vacation Florida” and reaching into coffers of tax money that would otherwise be allocated to education & resources. The whole point of the Florida hotel tax is to fund entertainment stuff without dipping into other state funding

they were a band before that. I saw MM with Caspian and If These Trees Could Talk. Ive always thought of them as Post-Rock with vocals. Pneuma was really the only album of theirs I listened too though.
