Chicken parm is good but it is also overrated. Especially cause most people don’t actually make their own tomato sauce and a lot of restaurants that do, it sucks lol.

i’m gonna buzz my head tomorrow not a euphemism

 

I make my parm with a homemade sauce and with actual burrata mozzarella melted on top for that reason. Chicken parm is amazing if you put effort into it.

It can also just simply be an average easy meal if you just pour jarred sauce, coat the bread in pre-seasoned “Italian” breadcrumbs, and toast some sliced mozzarella onto it, in the same way that Americans just pour seasoning on ground beef for tacos and make it taste better with sour cream rather than making a real Picadillo ground beef, which takes a couple hours but is the reason why the beef at a Mexican restaurant tastes so much better.

But that’s what I’m saying is overrated, the typical American way of looking at foods like that and trying to make them into 20-30 minute dishes with shortcuts when it’s the slow process of making it from scratch that makes it delicious

Love Italian American food. I want it on record that I don't think it's overrated and it might be underrated.

Won't be commenting on anything else that happened while I was gone.

Hope everyone posting in here is still breathing

 

i respect folks who love to cook and will take 3-4 hours to make something from scratch but i am not cut from that cloth. i am happily a jarred sauce boy and i will make my food in 20 mins and love it.

I could go either way, but 99% of the time I'm using jarred sauce. Who the hell has time to make their own sauce in this day and age
