finally ordered some new glasses and sunglasses this morning. prescription hasn't really changed but the blue light filter is peeling off of both my glasses and sunglasses and it's mega annoying thinking there's something on my lenses.

man, I'm mad at @Max_123 now because I can't get Terry Black's anymore.

 

Last time I had it it was good but wasn't close to like Goldee's or Hutchins but still good

 

This looks good as fuck. Appreciate that they do things a little differently than just "here's a giant plate of MEAT" and that's it lol

 

yeah, but I like to find places that are good and don't require me to stand in line for hours.

 

I feel like the more BBQ I have the more open minded I get about it as a whole because I feel like the best places are people who just love it so much and appreciate all the things the competition has to offer

Hutchins doesn't require it really! Neither does Hurtado which I like some things more than Terry Black's (others not so much tho)

 

We have 1 place here in town which is shocking and it's not very good. Apparently Montgomery County had a bunch of top BBQ places this year for Texas Monthly but all very inconvenient and have insane lines.

 

This is how I've become with pizza. Used to be a NY style snobbbbbbbbbbbbbb

 

I very much enjoy when a place lets the meat speak for itself. I don't need all the extra stuff. I appreciate it, but it's not what I look for in BBQ. If you knock the basics out of the park, hell yeah brother.

 

There are people who speak highly about sides but sides are also where SO much of the profit margin is in BBQ so I don't really trust that kind of talk unless they're doing something unique with the sides

Not to say I'm not a sides fan, I am, I just don't trust when people say to pick places based on the sides

 

man, I just want some dank af potato salad and beans

 

I just need Pat's house to be finished so I can come visit NC and eat all that BBQ

 

feels like when I try a places "special" side, I'm usually disappointed

 

baked beans, fries, cornbread or coleslaw is all I need for sides
