correct. i am not “allowed” to be doing this but i do it and no one asks questions bc im very good at my job. built different!!!!!

 

also when you’re salaried vs. hourly there are still “guideline” hours but no one gives a shit if you do good work, it only would be an issue if you’re fucking off during the day and falling way behind/doing bad work

3 hours is an extreme lol that’s usually only if i also have to run to a doctors appt. for megan or holly or a meeting for the house which it’s easier to do over lunch. 95% of the time it’s 45-90 minutes

i didn’t quit wrestling that long ago and he looks totally different

 

He turned heel for a long time and had a real violent feud with Swerve Strickland. He’s in a big redemption arc and full babyface again and is going for the world title at their stadium show in Arlington next month

Yeah that is what I meant originally. I did not mean your job says “sure take a 3 hour lunch” more that you can establish a position where no one notices or bats an eye if you do it, if you’re efficient at getting your stuff done

 

my rule for my staff is anything less than half a day, don't use PTO. i also tell them when i hire them that i'm not a babysitter, so im not micromanaging their hours, but if i get word that their work is falling behind or their skipping out on meetings or not answering emails in a timely fashion then we're gonna have a hard conversation.

It’s just funny to me that this actually is what I was saying when the thread argued with me about it lol. feel like the average person works so slowly and inefficiently that if you’re at all good at your job it’s possible to buy yourself more time that is unimpeded by managerial oversight, and you can get away with doing non work related stuff during your workday. and that at some office jobs you’re not nearly as micromanaged about how you spend every 5-10 minutes as you would be at another type of job

 

I need you to know that a coworker got back from Pittsburgh today and described Pittsburgh as very hilly. She then mentioned that she called the mountains once and was corrected by locals.
