It is lol. It’s also me and my partner’s funny way of referring to people with really bland personalities whose conversations feel forced and scripted

which I feel compelled to again specify, is not how I view ALL 9-5 workers lol. It’s more like “40-50% of people in general” and just because of the way the world works most of those people work the same schedule and end up ruining the vibe in the same Friday/Saturday crowds haha

I’ve had to be up before 6 every day for work before and I fucking hated it, and never felt like I started my day feeling rested and in a good mood

 

I worked with a big time NPC during that time too. She “isn’t really a music person” and “doesn’t really watch movies or TV” and would tell on me to the manager whenever I said a curse word. She drove down from York PA every single day at like 430 AM to open that hotel restaurant and the only outside of work thing she ever talked about was her other job lol

Ellicott City, Timonium, Severna Park, Bel Air, Middle River are all > the northwest suburbs

Parkville, Essex/Dundalk and Glen Burnie/Brooklyn Park can be kinda trashy but eh working class suburbs are necessary to the yin & yang of the world

Work talk but my wife works a m-f office job and I clearly don’t and there are pros and cons to every thing

however my retail job isn’t like the majority of retail jobs so even that’s a bit different

 

But Catonsville/Ellicott City, Timonium/the north side of Parkville, Severna Park / the whole peninsula it’s on, Bel Air / Fallston are all areas I’ve always felt “if I ever get house buying money that’s where I’d look.”

I’ve also felt that way about basically all of East Atlanta (from Fourth Ward to Cabbagetown to Grant Park to Candler Park all the way out to Decatur) and about a lot of the Maryland side of DC (especially Takoma Park and Riverdale/Hyattsville areas) but those places are much more expensive now than the outskirts of Baltimore. I’m hopeful that if I do become a Somm or if I finally give up on restaurants and move to tech, I could buy a 350-400k house one day, I don’t even have hope that I can go above that lol
