all of my life, you've been the same Supporter

Haven’t done an Airbnb in a long time but it seems like Airbnb operators have turned into corporate greeders. Why would I pay a cleaning fee then get charged more after the fact because I didn’t put a dish up appropriately? Weird behavior. Hotels are just more convenient

our recent trip to nashville we did airbnb and it was about $200 a night but we only paid 2/3rds and our friend paid the other. so not bad.

the hosts were annoying though and did not send someone to help alleviate an ant problem after they said they would AND didn't even make sure their propane tanks were full when they were very much advertising their grill and patio fire table

and had some bullshit on the fridge about "please leave a 5 star review, we're a small family owned business" fuck offffffffffff you listed it for sale for $865k 2 weeks before we were there

The one Airbnb I stayed at in Philly wanted us to run the dishwasher and empty it before we left. So I have to plan ahead if I want to eat before the 11 am check out time?? And then the dude showed up a half hour before we left to try and get in and fix something. I told him no he could come in after our checkout time.

Hotels are almost a non-starter for me right now with Milo and Maisie. Renting a 2 or 3 bedroom house is way more manageable than multiple hotel rooms or all of us sharing a room.

yeah airBBs can fuck right off for all these reasons. hey before you check out could you collect your trash, run the dishes, and re-finish the back deck?

The best Airbnb experience was one in Colorado. Me and 2 of my buddies rented out the bottom floor of this older couples house. She ruled and would chat with us each morning before we left. Place was clean and there was no checklist to do before we left.

yeah that was only the 2nd time we've used airbnb. the first was Seattle in 2019 which i don't remember having any issues with but it was just like a garage apartment

This is the reason I never do Airbnbs. That kinda thing would drive me insane. if you’re charging a cleaning fee then I’m not cleaning shit lol

  13. exactly, but it would be a good move career wise and the title alone is very transferable. if for whatever reason I got let go as Clerk, there are hardly ever any openings because once you're in, you're there until you want to leave. so it would be harder to find something if that happened, but that's a lot less likely to happen.

extra money is enticing because if kaitie gets laid off again or the economy tanks, the increase would basically cover kaitie's entire salary.

My partner rented an Airbnb in Delaware for our birthday (birthdays are like a week apart) last year. It was a converted bus that was cute and cozy as hell, parked on a little chicken & goat farm where you could actually interact with the animals and enjoy the garden. 8-10 miles from the beach. Was amazing. So thankful she did that.

however it was like $200 a night lol and man that’s just crazy, wonderful property but it’s a bus. The point of a converted bus is cheap living, not like, luxury hotel costs lol

airBB i stayed in in florida last summer with the flight attendant had an active ant problem. we decided not to make a stink about it since we were mostly out for the day every day and they werent really in the bedroom, but when i checked out i messaged the guy like hey not for nothing your place has an ant problem, i wont give you a bad review but it really was pretty frustrating and disappointing to see. and he replied later like "glad you enjoyed the stay!!" lol

Luckily I haven’t had a bad AirBNB experience yet. My wife researches the shit out of them before we book lol she’s found some really cool ones. We did like a treehouse one in Nashville that was super cool and not expensive and had a cat that liked to hang out
