When we moved into our first apartment they only charged a non refundable $200 security deposit so we didn’t clean shit since we knew we weren’t getting it back anyway. However, they tried charging us $160 for additional cleaning fees after we moved out but they took too long to do so and I got to hit them with the citations.

the apartments I lived in when I first got Phil initially had a no pets at all policy. then at some point they changed it to yes but with a $250 pet fee. when i got Phil and called to let them know they were like "no it's actually $500 now" and I said "ok you never told me that and never sent out any kind of mass communication to residents, and i'm in the middle of my current lease so, no I wont pay that, i'll pay $250" and they relented

 

I need to do work in the warehouse but it's already so hot and muggy

 

My first apartment (the upper level of a house split into 4 apartments) had a strict no pets policy except for the landlord's kid who lived downstairs and had 2 cats. When my wife moved in, I asked if we could have a cat and they said yes for some deposit amount which I paid and got back when I moved out of the very clean and well maintained apartment.

 

I’ve always gotten my full deposit back except the place in 2023 that tried to fuck me over for 3k saying I didn’t tell them I wasn’t renewing. It was some big ordeal and them trying to scam me cause they’re a shit company!
