We’re going for Jocelyn’s family reunion. Excited to see her cousin and her husband that are from Chicago. They had to go and ruin our group dynamic tho because they had a baby

Yes the beach is sandy but the raw power and natural motion of the ocean… ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?

sometimes sure I like to relax in still water. It’s not even the same thing as the beach though in terms of how fucking healed and refreshed I feel after getting tossed around in that water

the beach is also an amazing place to see the sky

 

Simply go to the beach and stay somewhere that also has a pool

Always get a beach house with a pool imo.

get to the beach by 9 and set up. Get an hour or two alone before the wife and Kirby comes down. Be on the beach until maybe 2 then go back and get in the pool for a few hours. Go to dinner. Repeat the next day.

Nothing beats taking your drug of choice on the beach in the morning, watching the sun rise, and spending your day alternating between lovely naps to music, and swimming sessions, forgetting about time, eating seafood and junk food, and watching the sky above you shapeshift.

Then going to some rooftop beach bar at night to feel the ocean breeze with a sweeter drink then you normally go for. Then how incredible it feels to shower off all that sand and salt in your hotel / Airbnb.

Then you go back to the beach for one more morning walk with coffee, get mediocre but comforting breakfast at a cheap beach diner that’s been there for 78 years, and hit a farmers market for some FRESH ass hangover healing food in some podunk town on the way home.

Grillin outside with a pool is entirely different vibes. I would enjoy that for like, inviting a few friends over to watch sports. But it’s not the same “lose your sense of time, become irresponsible and carefree for a day, let nature take over and do its thing, go to some kitschy shops and bars and be in lalaland” that I get from a beach getaway
