Even in Birmingham the few bars that actually stay open late are like, de facto segregated lol. Literally a country band and all the white people inside and then hip hop and all the black people outside. Was fuckin weird, almost as weird as like 2-3 bars total in all of downtown Birmingham being open after midnight on a Saturday

 

Fourth of July is a terrible holiday for many reasons / primarily the assholes in my neighborhood shooting fireworks right now - the dumbest shit ever

I’m not a supporter of fireworks but if people / cities are gonna light them off regardless I might as well kick back on my roof and enjoy. Stoked to have a place to watch that doesn’t require being around the most obnoxious crowds of people

Shooting fireworks is very fun but people should only do it in the woods in the middle of no where up at camp or something. Doing it in a neighborhood with babies and dogs etc is stupid and sucks and is rude.

I think I agree for quiet suburban areas but if you live IN the urban area of a city it just kinda comes with the territory, trucks and motorcycles and cars with mufflers that drive by my apartment are literally louder haha

 

as frustrating as today has been i did just love being in chicago properly downtown again even if it was only for a few hours

 

Man I’ve been having Chicago withdrawals I wanna go back for the third time

wish we could have rapid train transit already so I can get there in like 3 hours. Ugh. Would go to a different city every Sunday/Monday I have off if that existed lol
