Tbh of places I’ve lived, in FLORIDA and GEORGIA and LOUISIANA the heat is bad.

In Maryland people only get that thick swampy shit maybe 1.5 months total in a hot year, and it’s week by week with breaks in between where it’s less humid / more breezy. To me that’s luxury that it even cools down at ALL rather than being persistently thick and angry for 6 months straight

 

Heat for a couple days is very tolerable / nothing to me. It’s not just how hot it gets, it’s how long it stays that hot and you never get a break that makes summer tough. Up here summer is great, just do inside stuff the super hot days and go out when the weather is slightly better *shrug* winter here is the same way, only a few cold ass days at a time, with very tolerable weather in between

 

I really enjoy the first time listening of an album experience and when half the album is already out it’s kind of a bummer. I do try and avoid listening to all the singles when releases like this happen but it’s hard to come here and see everyone excited about the newest song and not feel the pressure to listen haha. It’s more just annoyance for me like you told me you have new music and now I’m excited but it’s gonna be 5 months before I can hear it and along the way you’re gonna drop half the album. Just shorten the window and release it sooner!

 

Bands have the opposite pressure these days though where it’s like, by the time you finish an album that you’re actually taking all the steps to make professional, other bands have gone viral simply releasing one single every couple months lol. The attention span is shorter. I can’t help feeling like I should’ve just finished and released one song at a time but that’s obviously a different dynamic for new bands than it is for pre existing ones

 

We don’t get surprise album drops anymore outside of huge artists either now because of streaming I’m assuming which is a huge bummer too. Those were always so cool. MovMou announcing their album with like 2 weeks to release is about as close as we get in our scene.

This is true but there’s nothing like an internet community finding out about an album together for the first time and that shared experience.
