some teams will do well and some teams wont

hope you enjoyed my predictions

 

this will be fun to come back to

 

I’ll do the predict the schedule thing closer to the season starting (that probably won’t reflect at least some of this), but some quick hot takes I have are:

- New England is this year’s Denver Broncos and take a massive step forward as a playoff team
- Buffalo picks in the top 10 and McDermott gets fired [the more nuanced version of this is that we see negative regression on the health of the superstar QBs and one of the Buffalo / Cincinnati / Baltimore / Kansas City group loses their QB for a large stretch of time and burns out badly]
- Jayden Daniels hits a sophomore slump and the Commies are less exciting this year

 

Strong agree on Commies but idk if it’ll be just Daniels slumping, they’re pretty old across the board

 

its not a surprise because recency bias rules all but i've seen a lot of NFL media people having the comms in the NFCCG like, relax lol

 

My concern about the Pats would be the OLine and WRs

 

They were super lucky/an outlier when it came to 3rd & 4th down conversions

 

cincy. taylor also sucks.

 

the bryce stuff is 50/50 bit/believing it but i could also see canales actually being COTY if are competitive in the division

 

they’re probably the one I’d be most confident in treading water, if only because I’ve seen Jake Browning do it before; Buffalo (Trubisky) and Baltimore (Cooper Rush) seem the most vulnerable, and maybe Minshew Mania could keep KC okayish too, but that entire roster seems to be propped up by the existence of Pat Mahomes

i like sellers a lot but i hope the colts don't take him. i do think nuss/cade could succeed there though.

If you’re asking for my current take on 9/3/25, I’d say that Drew Allar is the QB that seems like the best fit for a course over-correction at QB for IND.

 

i mean nuss to the saints makes sense sure but a bit foolish to pretend like it isn't the luck of the draw with how the standings shake out. another team isn't going to pass on drafting him bc where he played in college and who his dad is.
