Poggi was a long time successful high school football coach right down the road from me. dude is absolutely flush with cash and just coaches for fun, basically. he would pay the tuition and housing for a ton of kids that he would ship in to this prestigious private school, created a whole disconnect between the athletic department (that was winning in multiple sports left and right) and the board of directors who felt the school was bringing in too many "athletes" (read between the lines) which is why he left/was forced out and went to st. frances academy, and turned them into a powerhouse. meanwhile, his previous school hasn't been good at any sports since he took his money elsewhere. lots of drama in the baltimore private school scene!
