I mean i would just out the conferences back to how they were 5 years ago and do the 12 team playoff as we have it. Tell crybaby schools to stfu. We have more whining now than when we had 4 or less teams lol
I’m just a happy guy. I was cool with 1 vs 2 and was cool with a 4 team playoff. Am cool with 12 teams. I just want my team to be good. If they don’t make one of those then they could have been better
ACC does suck though as an operation. Incompetence running the show. But don’t let that make you think Miami isn’t good. I don’t think A&M is much better than them, if at all. It’ll be a good game.
For as much as the ACC may suck, their video review policy should be mandatory in all conferences. That level of transparency was really nice.
Conference looks a lot different when the only one of your three big programs that has been consistently elite recently takes a nosedive I can’t speak for anyone else but I’ve hated the ACC deal for ages. The 2020 thing was a great temporary marriage of convenience, but really more for us and Clemson than anyone else
Miami is good and should be ranked above both Bama and Oklahoma to be clear. Also think Miami is a partial victim of the ACC’s incompetence as well. They should have been set up to play in ccg and possibly end up ranked higher
So regular season doesn't really matter? Also how do you actually get the big schools to agree to that? They have more power than the actual NCAA. It's why we got into the mega conference mess to begin with.
I think this general idea works best. Yes, it eliminates a lot of smaller schools. But I think that’s just where we are heading anyways. The easiest way to make things work is to divide up teams and you win your conference/division/whatever you want to call it and you get in. Just like most sports.
man i'm spitballing on the internet while avoiding work because it's q4 it's not that deep, but i'm not sure where you get these points from that either. win your conference = get in = dominate the regular season. at large bids = win a lot in the regular season.
Rumor was B1G came calling a couple of years ago and the administration declined. I would be thrilled to rejoin the SEC but last time they formally tried when Dodd was still AD the sentiment from the SEC ADs was they would be lucky to get 1 admission vote. Maybe shit has changed but I don’t see georgia sitting by and letting it happen.
