He is not lol sure why take a guy who runs an offense-first team and is the offensive mastermind for that team and who has developed several QBs in a short time now from average talent or distressed assets into nfl talent when you can have an older guy who is the playcaller for someone else’s offense on a team that is as good as it is because of the defense
Bo Nix was there before Stein lol. Hartline is THIRTY NINE lmao. Hes three years older at a job where age doesnt matter for another 30 years. Ohio States offense is literally just as good as Oregons. And Hartline handles a lot of their recruiting too, Stein to my knowledge does not. Ohio State has become known as the premier wide receiver destination, entirely because of Hartline.
Cool, does he design the playbook? No. It is very clearly and obviously Ryan day’s offense. He operates it well and is a very good play caller. I would much rather bring a coach in that will develop his own very good system and yes Bo nix was there before Stein. He also happened to throw for 1000 more yards, 15 more touchdowns and less picks in Stein’s offense lol. And he infamously sucked at Auburn. He is an nfl QB bc of stein. And while Gabriel shouldn’t be an nfl QB, he is one because of stein. and then there’s this year where he turned Dante Moore from someone who could barely start at fledgling big ten programs to someone who is gonna be a top 10 pick this year or next lol. Cmon man. This isn’t even close.
Gabriel's best years were at UCF and Oklahoma. Nix had 43 TDs the year before Stein took over. Moore was a 5 star recruit and behind only Arch Manning. Stein is good but acting like Hartline isnt just as good is absurd
29 passing touchdowns. Sure, 15 rushing touchdowns. he had 45 passing touchdowns alone with stein and an extra 6 rushing. sure I didn’t say Moore wasn’t a highly touted recruit. He also sucked at ucla and got the job taken from him, which is what I actually said lol
But, again, which you seem to be conveniently ignoring, hartline does a very good job at operating someone else’s offense and stein does a very good job at operating his own. I’d rather have the guy who I know can do it himself especially at a program like Kentucky
Im not ignoring anything. Im just saying its silly to be so dramatic about Hartline, as if he isnt a top tier OC too lol. Stein has his own scheme but can he bring in talent now that he is going from one of the biggest brands in the sport to the 2nd best school in a two school state?
