Updated. The ACC auto-bid looks ROUGH after this past week.

 

It’s a shame the Aguilar from App State appeared for the game where the defense actually showed up for most of the game. I knew we weren’t a CFP team, but the self-inflicted wounds of yesterday’s first half were brutal. Still had a really fun time though. Love everything about a night game except getting home after 1.

But I do think we gotta move on from Tim Banks as DC. He’s hit his ceiling and we need extra juice on defense to truly compete. Just not sure who’s available that gets us there. (Getting close to feeling this way about the OC, too. My cousin and I accurately predicted 7 straight plays one drive and if we can do it, an SEC DC absolutely can.)

UVA is a fun team to watch I don’t care if they aren’t impressive

 

I think in reality they and Northwestern and Minnesota are all done, but I have them on the list because they have 2 conference losses and that’s been my threshold of “something weird could still happen here and this team could tie for the second spot and win some funky tiebreaker”

 

yeah they are definitely the vibes choice to win the conference and would be fun to root for vs Ole Miss or whoever

Yeah but a wider field is different to me than mandated playoff spots for conferences. Sankey is definitely more considerate of the optics and messaging than pettiti
