ND should be ranked but seeing 0-2 sandwiched by a bunch of 3-0s is extremely funny

 

It’s going to be fun to see “should 10-2 ND be in” discourse in three months.

 

they do have a pretty easy schedule the rest of the way. the USC game will be an interesting one.

 

sure but:
- we’re not even halfway through September and they’re a loss away from being eliminated from the playoff contention and, depending on how the season plays out, could be on the wrong side of discourse and get left out anyways
- are we really sure yet that a home loss to A&M is enough of a ‘quality loss’ to treat playing them close like a win?
- (probably the biggest one for me) we don’t yet have any sample of what they look like winning a game. If they thump Arkansas on the road in a couple weeks and don’t do something stupid against Purdue, I’d put them back in, but idk why I’d assume that to be the case yet

Texas should be 11 at best. Tennessee and TAMU are outplaying them and LSU has more to point towards at least

Matt rated Tennessee positively, I thought it felt it get a smidge chilly for a second.

 

Their offense is SOOOOOOOOO bad. The Clemson win doesnt look as good now either.

 

Had them between 7 and 12. Holding OSU to 14 was impressive

Why

 

Because Clemson looks bad. GT wasnt a good loss but struggling against Troy was a big red flag too

 

If Clemson were simply 0-2 instead of 1-2, they’d deserve to be ranked and would be a quality win for those who beat them :)

 

LSU scored 20 points and picked Florida 5 times. Unless all of those picks resulted in LSU starting deep in their own territory (like the equivalent of a punt) there’s no excuse for only scoring 20 points, especially with an experienced QB
