I’m sure I’m not alone in this but Bill going to UNC will just never make sense in my brain. He could be there for the next 20+ years and it still just won’t add up or look right.

Vanderbilt over 4.5
Navy over 8.5
Baylor over 7.5
UNC over 7.5 (idiot)

UCLA under 5.5
Colorado under 5.5
Louisville under 8.5
Alabama under 9 5
Army under 7.5

 

I had to look up and they have one claimed national title in 1954. Maybe they were talking about basketball

My favorite thing about power rankings is that you get to ignore the actual games being played and just cling to your priors about a given team and call it “data driven”

 

Id hope we evolved and learned but I see we are just getting dumber. People are now arguing that Texas shouldn't be ranked AT ALL because they lost.

I mean obviously I agree with them but for different reasons.

 

No team should have rankings because they should wait to rank

 

Really though I think 7 is fair after that performance. Could maybe go lower but I think that'd be discrediting Ohio State and would need to see how they hold up against other teams to see how bad it really was on a full team level

 

If any team from last weekend that shouldn't be ranked it's Alabama.

But I wont go higher than 7 because I agree with this. No ranking in september. I understand why they do it, but I hate it and won't participate
