They haven’t been that bad the last few seasons though. Most neutrals even rooted for them in the playoffs (even if only because their one loss would’ve been the funniest national champion loss ever) last year.

I think we see the expansion to 16 with no byes very soon. If all four teams with byes lose again (and we seem to be on course for 0-6 already), you’ll see teams somehow trying to avoid the bye.
Yeah I thought after yesterday that there will be a a demand to not have byes or have a shorter time between games for the top 4 seeds. If Tech loses and if another bye team loses today I feel like that will be an immediate demand. Hell, has any team that had a bye so far (this year or last) even come out and started the game well? Seems like the first half or at least first quarter is just awful football by the team with the bye and in the second half it’s a bit interesting but yeesh the first half is atrocious
The six teams that have had a bye have scored a combined 21 points in the first half with back to back shut outs this year so far lol
