After 11 years, I still don’t know if Donovan is a good NBA coach or not. The Bulls were always striving for mediocrity so its impossible to say if they over or under achieved.
If I were Mitch Johnson and I just had a questionable coaching performance in the finals and I have extremely high expectations for the next season….I’d be pretty nervous to have someone like Donovan looking over my shoulder.

I guess I was interpreting it as he wants to have his cake and eat it too. Like he wants to be on a team good enough, but also be seen as what pushed them over the edge. He wants glory and a challenge, but not too much of a challenge.
