Sure, but with the new lottery rules all they have to do is miss the playoffs and risk losing a massively valuable pick, never mind the unprotected first round pick which everyone assumed would be even harder to pry away now that plus the fact that Naz is a fan favorite who plays both ways and gives you a lot of versatility and Lamelo is uh, Lamelo. Maybe I’m overly allergic to the guy but if I’ve got championship ambitions I’m not even sure I’m doing a Naz for Lamelo swap straight up lol
North Carolina isn’t going to have two teams. I could see Austin but I feel like the end result is that it’s most likely there is no expansion and that two teams are just moved from wherever they are to Seattle and Vegas.
Hornets are second best odds for Jaylen Brown’s next team, only behind Boston. I don’t know what the next move will be, but I’d be surprised if it’s Brown. I suppose that’d mean giving up Miller? Not that Brown isn’t worth it, but I don’t think we’d trade both Lamelo and Miller in the same offseason.
My ideal next steps would be to acquire another C and another PG. Maybe a veteran PG like Holliday + a big upgrade at C, Mobley has been thrown around some? Or a veteran C like Hartenstein and a better PG. Either way, I think we’d walk away better than last season.
So I'm guessing that makes the Duncan-Powell trade likely to be happening? Saw a report yesterday that Detroit was out because of how much Milwaukee was asking for him, not sure what that was though.
I think Duncan for Powell probably still happens but it sounds like Detroit is searching for a home run before going down that road. Gonna come down to what happens with Duren.
(This is not Isaiah Joe related) I don’t understand what a lot of these teams are up to lol But I have to think all these rule changes over the last few years and in the upcoming years in a big factor in some of it.
I love a good Duren meme but keeping your 22 year old all nba center is probably a good idea. Despite shitting his pants when it mattered
