If Kawhi was a free agent could any team sign him now? Or would like he still be getting paid the Clippers and could sign on a minimum? That'd be such a wild shake up to the league, and Kawhi is a bigger profile signing than the Wolves thing, could be even more first rounders.
Just finished the whole episode - so, so good. David Samson with perhaps the most salient point here - the people most upset by this story will be the other owners in the league. They will not just let this be washed over by Adam Silver. The Sixers have the Clippers unprotected 2028 first round pick, and the right to swap in 2029 (top 3 protected), so if something can be done immediately to tank the Clippers ahead of schedule I would greatly appreciate it. Of course them rolling out the oldest roster ever assembled this year might be enough on its own…
