I know. I’m not saying it’s gonna be all foul baiting. I think they’re going to be more aggressive and basically force those foul calls. And will probably get a couple of freebies in the process
I genuinely believe that’s how teams should play almost universally. Drive the paint, force the issue, drive up the foul calls so the defense soften and then exploit it. It’s like running up a pitchers pitch count in baseball to me. Just feels so obvious. Meanwhile my team has a tantrum if you ask them to step inside the arc lol
If I was an nba caliber player and playing against Wemby I’d just make it my mission to just get one dunk on him. A poster. I don’t care how many times he blocks my attempt. I don’t care if I foul out on all offensive foul calls. But if I can get that one I think the team responds. 2014. Spurs vs Thunder. Serge Ibaka was looking like what Wemby is on D now. Blocking everything. Spurs would see him in the paint and just nope. Spurs were getting killed and just settling for jump shots. Until Cory Joseph randomly comes in during one of the last games of the series and just throws down a demoralizing dunk all over Ibaka. Completely changed the outcome of the series. Ibaka was a non factor after that. Nobody feared attacking him anymore. We don’t win that series to even get to the finals had that play not happened. Now obviously Wemby is like 100x better than that. But still, you gotta try something! I can’t tell you how many times this season wemby gets a block but nobody is there to grab it and it just leads to an easier put back. Just gotta accept that you’re gonna get swatted but you still might come up with some.
yes but also Chet was getting blocked by Harper (or castle I forget) so they’ve got to build up to wemby
why is reggie shocked wemby got that offensive rebound? dude's arms are fucking long. christ man, chill lol
