He was solid but I felt him being back messed with their lineup a bit. but yeah no Wiggins game 2 please lol. Also like no Joe was weird
I don't disagree but OKC is excellent because they also find the market inefficiencies and exploit it (complimentary) so if someone changes (such as losing to SA and not having an answer for Wemby) Presti is smart enough to make the right move
“Unless they’re going to trade for an impact player, these mid range first rounders do them no good for the time being - parlay them into either salary relief or picks down the road” followed by “they aren’t beating San Antonio, they can’t beat wemby”
Honestly it was what I would have done because jdub needs ramp up time and Mitchell needs time to learn how Wemby works
What could it be, the person who permanently lives on trade machine island is living on trade machine island or I’m defending a team I don’t want to win the series for no reason
i feel like typically they don't bring guys in on minutes restrictions - presumably dub has been full go at practice but idk
I think we’re gonna have to complete a full audit of Pat and Drew’s phones to get to the bottom of this
I felt in my bones that the Pacers were going to win that game 7 up until the moment Hali’s Achilles snapped
You gotta factor in the respect Wemby has for his fellow Frenchman/mentor as opposed to the pure disdain he has for Chet. Plus the MVP factor. He’s gonna be playing like a sicko all series
Well yeah lol but Wemby specifically likes him and grew up under him playing with France. Doesn’t feel like he wants to go out of his way to punk him under the brightest lights like he does Chet
It was such an insane game 1 that you can’t extrapolate it over the whole series, but I do think it’s Spurs in 6. Yeah, you’re not going to see Wemby average 44/20, and Shai’s going to play better. But with Fox back you don’t get 10 or whatever Castle turnovers, and Caruso isn’t going to keep shooting with his dome on fire.
Also the Spurs are particularly well-equipped to deal with Shai. With Wemby anywhere near the rim, their guards don’t have to ride Shai so tight and risk the contact, and most of the time he’s going to end up passing out of his drives with Wemby waiting like last night. It’s tough!
Kendrick Perkins posting is fun but let’s see how shit actually plays out. The league moves fast and I’m not ready to concede the next 10 years to a team off of double OT win. Could they? Sure. Dynasties are fun but let’s see them get there. There’s been many great teams and GMs have constructed rosters to find a way to beat them.
