The irony in Mosley running a "read and react" offense is that he himself is incapable of doing the same. They've had so many awful 3rd quarters, I genuinely do not know what he does at the half.
If there's a silver lining, it's that Mosley almost certainly gets fired after they get eliminated on Sunday, so that's something.
Fuck Mose. Fuck the Magic. We did this to ourselves. Game was easily ours and we don't deserve to win. Game over. Series over. Embarrassing to say the least. To not even score 20 points in an entire half is pathetic. I should have known better than to get excited after the first half. I dont even know how you improve this team cause its not just the coach.
Yeah, I was fighting hard not to be happy at the half. We don't deserve it. Mosley absolutely has to go, but there's some other issues that a new coach won't necessarily fix. Their composure as a team is not good. Once things don't go their way they have a tendency to spiral. Like tonight's collapse, or the 31-0 run in Toronto. To all of the people who don't normally watch Magic games, I'm sorry you had to see tonight's game. They are not a good team.
They had EIGHT points in the 4th quarter? 19 in the entire half? As a Sixers fan, I’ve seen some crazy shit, but nothing like a total meltdown of this caliber.
I wasn't sure they could top giving up that 31-0 run to Toronto or losing to Boston's 3rd stringers, but tonight's second half absolutely did. I need to remind myself there's lots of other stuff in life that brings me joy and which I can control, otherwise I'd be even more depressed right now.
I dont think im going to sleep tonight after this half. This is like Nick Anderson missing his finals free throws. 2003 Tmac 3-1 collapse. Game 7 vs Cavs 2024. So embarrassing. I had a good feeling and confidence all day today, now I feel like I don't even want to waste my time watching game 7. So cooked. And why does Harris make every shot now that he isn't a Magic. And God damn I hate Cade, but only because he isn't on my team. Mose has to go. Suggs is a dawg, but needs to go. Goga be gone. AB and TDS aren't going to ever be more than bench players.
Detroit came out better after halftime, something you expect an NBA team with a decent coach to do. Orlando does not have such a coach, and seemed surprised that Detroit did make adjustments. They proceeded to basically give up and missed 23 straight shots at one point. Edit: Yeah, this is giving me similar sadness to watching Nick Anderson miss those. Neither series was technically over at that point, but you could smell it in the wind.
