Well, no Phoenix was great that year and only five wins short of the arbitrary total because KD and Booker missed a few weeks here and there the lakers were basically the equivalent of the hornets this year and started poorly but had close to the best offense in the league after making the rui trade midway through the season and they steamrolled the defending champs and never had a chance against Denver the heat obviously had a bad regular season record but you either didn’t watch basketball those playoffs or are acting in incredibly bad faith to pretend they weren’t an incredible team during the eastern conference playoff run we reaaaaaaallllllllly don’t have to do this when joker just gave us plenty of reasons this series alone to dog him
Watching TJ turn the nugs defenders into literal cones driving to the lane was not something I expected finch was a sicko last night man
They were also the number one seed, which is literally the idea behind getting the number one seed - having the easiest pathway to winning a championship. It’s always seemed dumb to rail on them for being the best team that season.
Glad to be in a different time zone and unable to watch these guys blow a 3-1 lead against friggin Philly
I know this is a core component of being a NBA fan but the “what ifs” that fans engage in are wildly corny “Jokic’s title was a fluke because he never faced a 50 win team” “Bucks title was a fluke because it was a covid season” “if Jimmy Butler had his lucky frosted mini wheats before an elimination game they wouldn’t have lost”
Kinda hate those arguments because what’s Jokic supposed to do, lose because those teams didn’t have 50 wins? Also, Wolves gonna get euthanized
