i also kinda wanna stay away from plainly calling these guys uneducated, as it is a very unfair blanket assessment, but ant seems like a really, really, really dumb guy.
This. Orlando is absolutely crumbling. Never actually had their footing this season. I cant even blame the injuries to Franz, Suggs, and Paolo. Playing like garbage even with them in the lineup. I had an entire weekend getaway booked for the Orlando/Cavs game and had to cancel it due to the foot of snow we got. Didn't want to be stranded in Orlando. Happy with the decision, especially how the team is playing.
I'm certainly not looking to professional athletes to be the most informed individuals when it comes to what's happening in the world, like Cloud said they live in their own bubble, but I do expect you to at least be informed of what's happening in your own city when *something like this* happens. Ant has proven time and time again that he's a huge dumbass and likely a POS on an individual level, so I'm not surprised.
Some fans are blaming the injuries, but it's so much more I think. They look lost on offense, and the defensive effort has cratered. It doesn’t matter who's in the jerseys, they do not resemble the same team on that end that we're accustomed to. I think they maybe read too many preseason predictions and they're getting frustrated when things don't go their way. They have talent, but I’m not sure Mosley is the guy anymore.
yeah im not seeking some type of extensive explanation for why ICE in the community is detrimental to the city/state as a whole but just being like "oh well, I don't have social media but I love everyone here" is very lame and hoped he could muster up a little more. but with how he has handled himself in previous questionable situations it is very on brand I suppose
At this point Mose needs to go. May have to think about moving Suggs or even Paolo at this point. Im not 100% on Paolo and if we got a good enough return, Im for it. Before his max kicks in.
I wouldn't be upset at either. Suggs can't stay healthy, and it's going to get worse as he ages. Paolo can't really be traded until the offseason because of that max, unfortunately. If they trade him now, the "poison pill" provision in the CBA means Orlando's outgoing trade value would only be $15 million (his current salary), but their trade partner would treat him as $41 million worth of incoming salary.
The only benefits of falling behind by fifty in the third are getting Maxey some rest and McCain some run. They have to figure out what they're doing with the latter and Grimes at the deadline. Both have been very bad lately. Maxey hasn't been good, either. He's been overworked.
I'm relieved Orlando has been so bad lately because tonight's game is only on Peacock and I won't feel bad missing out on watching.
Miller had a bump in the road last year with an injury. And then again at the start of this season with another. But he is really starting to cook. Miller and Kon together is just ridiculous shooting. And it’s made LaMelo better.
