if all this does it provide aid to the Keep Giannis In Milwaukee campaign, I am all for it. just doesnt feel like it actually does anything to immediately improve the team, but i guess with only 17 wins on January 12th, its hard to imagine any meaningful playoff basketball for them this season anyway.
Very true - you might get more consistency night in and night out from Ja then say KPJ or Rollins (I think if the bucks trade a guard it’ll be Rollins unfortunately) but yeah who knows seeing both guards stink up the joint against the Denver d-league team last night probably didn’t help their cause haha
I think he’ll end up in Miami. We’ll get to see if Heat culture can fix him or if the city will swallow him. But Wolves would be the most fun.

I’m sorry to keep posting about Lamelo but… Forever his biggest issue has been availability. Everyone says he/the Hornets need to figure out how to keep him healthy and how to implement him back into the lineup after an injury. This season we are doing exactly that by being careful on his minutes and workload. They’ve been tinkering with how they can do that and still have him on the court for big moments. The narrative from the limited minutes? The coach hates him. Melo hates Charlotte. Time to trade him. What are they doing? This is what I keeping seeing despite the fact that since Melo has been back in the lineup we have an elite offense and are finally forming an identity. We finally have some glimmer of what this team is/can be. Obviously still work to do but you can see the vision. He may eventually go. I don’t think we can give him/Miller/Kon all a max deal just with roster construction. But the narrative from people who CLEARLY never watch the Hornets is so maddening haha
And we certainly aren’t going to trade him with what other PGs are going for right now. He is playing at a high level right now. Zero chance we trade him for pennies now that he’s actually playing awesome.
Getting rid of that POS and adding super likable player like Portis who also is a perfect fit. Please!
