No way Shai was a favorite over Jokic until this injury. Jokic was doing ridiculous things out there, it was his and it still might be depending on how much time he misses.

Yeah, not to sound too much like a homer but I vehemently disagree that Shai has been the favorite so far. This injury certainly tilts it in his favor, but prior to today, I don't see how you give it to him.

SGA is fantastic but his team is also elite. it's hard for me to gauge these things becauise I feel like MVP indicates that if you weren't playing, your team would openly hurt without you, and OKC has some bonafide guys that I think can take over if SGA was to be out. it just seems to vary year to year what the criteria is.

Anyways rest Jokic as long as you can get away with it. If Denver gets the other starters back while he's out they can keep them in the playoff hunt, which feels strange to say but I'm glad they finally have depth

  13. I’m not saying I believe Shai was the favorite (Jokic was ahead by quite a bit imo) but that Vegas lines had Shai as the favorite nearly the entire season. Jokic didn’t even overtake Shai in the odds after the 56 point game lmao

I’m assuming the Thunder being on track to win 70+ games kept him as the favorite as the odds started dropping as they lost games. Which is silly but blame Kendrick Perkins

  14. They should absolutely do something about 25% of the people who hold votes for awards imo

Glad it’s nothing serious for Jokic. Sucks that he’s going to be out for a while though. He’s still the most entertaining player to watch in the league.

Not a minute of defense was played in that Sixers/Grizzlies first half.

VJ takes some bad shots. Hopefully he hones that in with time.

He also makes a lot of incredible shots too, so I guess I should shut up.

Huge win for Philly. Really great game for Ja. Cedric Coward was terrific of it, too.

Didn't feel like Maxey/Joel/PG did much down the stretch -- they were lucky that VJ totally bailed them out with sixteen in the fourth and OT, including that huge final shot.

Also, that's the first win for Maxey/Joel/PG this year.

Saw a note earlier that Joel/PG have combined for one dunk this season -- that's pretty interesting.

the question I would love to know from Jazz fans… do you want to trade Lauri and tank a little to keep the pick or keep these vibes rolling?
